The walk to uni would be so much quicker if it took place on a bike. But seeing as the last time i cycled was at the age of 11 (and then it was only ever round and round my back garden), i soon dismissed the idea.

So the next sensible option of transport is clearly a mobility scooter. They have a handy wire basket at the front for any textbooks or folders, a nice comfy seat, the option of giving someone a lift to uni, and of course the fact that they are much faster than walking. All in all the perfect solution to the hassle of walking. The only potential problem is, if there's an age limit. Maybe you have to be over 65 to drive one? i dont know, but i'd like to find out....

1) Americans never put the actual price of anything on the price ticket! For example, when trying to purchase a packet of grated cheese, i wanted to know the price. The ticket says: 2/$4.00. So if i buy 2 it's $4, but i only want one! So how much is that?? well after much loud questioning in front of the cheese, a nice American shopper informed me that you have to divide the 4 dollars by 2 to get the price of one. So 1 is $2, and 2 is $4. so no special deal if you buy two. so why not just put the price of one!?! and dont even get me started on adding the tax yourself......

2) Amercian food is even tricker to eat than English! I got egg and ice cream up my nose whilst trying to get them (on two separate occasions!) I also accidentally swallowed a m&m whole, and nearly choked to death, as it took me rather by surprise!

3) Americans know how to do a good mini golf course! we went to an amazing course, with boats, bridges, waterfalls, and REAL sand bunkers. I dont think i need to say anymore.

4) The tiniest toothpaste tube i've ever seen was given to me free on the plane. It is so tiddy, and perhaps the cutest thing i've ever seen.

I dont think this list is quite finished! but i've got to go and eat!

She paused, looking at me, as if i knew where she'd left it! After a few moments she said she'd turned left down a road near the town. (that doesnt exactly help much, as there are lots of left turnings, and it sort of depends on what road she was on to start with...). anyway in a effort to help i suggested she tried over there (complete with some pointing in a general direction), as there were lots of roads in that area. I hope she did find her car in the end......

But after playing rounders on saturday i have found out that i have gotten worse at the game. In the end i needed about 25 goes before i managed to make contact between bat and ball. It was highly embarrassing, and i tried to give up many times, but my friends were keen for me to hit it at least once before i could go back to pretending to be a fielder. Oh, and even when i hit it, it went up and landed at my feet...

I thought it was only fair to try and repay the favour, because Dani's blog keeps me so amused.

*WARNING! There may be a few mentions of weddings in here, so dont read it if i've already bored you with wedding talk!!*

The past week has consisted of mainly chocolate fountains, and filing cabinets. And i have discovered which is infinitely more interesting. Suprising it is the filing cabinets!

I've been sorting out the filing cabinets at my dads work, which were full to the brim. And i soon found out why....i found one file older than me. So let me just make that clear.....this file i found had been filed in 1986 and left in the cabinet for 20 years! so yeah it was pretty crowded in there. I also found a Russian Times paper from the mid 90s. And some pretty terrible pictures of fashions gone by.

As for the chocolate fountains, i now know all the different types of dips you can get for the chocolate. (In case your interested here they are....strawberries, profiteroles, grapes, orange segments, cherries, pink waffers, turkish delight, fudge, marshmellows, mini doughnuts, biscuits, kiwi, pineapple, jelly babies, and crystallised ginger.)I also have learnt all about melting chocolate, using oil to make it go further, and how many grams 100 people would eat! So if you ever want to know anything about chocolate fountains just ask. But if you dont, best not to bring it up or i'll bore you silly.

I had a sudden panic yesterday when my mum made a good point about the wedding. The only two things that are decided are that we have a chocolate cake, and a chocolate fountain. But my mum thought that was a lot of chocolate if your not a chocolate fan..hmmm...i guess anybody that doesnt like chocolate could just eat the fruit that you're supposed to dip in....and that just leaves more chocolate for the rest of us!

hmm chocolate....oh i had an exciting discovery today! i found that you can buy bags of jazzies! how exciting, they are my favourite of all the pick and mix sweets, and now you dont even have a pick them yourself, cos they come pre-bagged! its very exciting, and a great move forward for mankind.

Well i've written a bit more than i thought, but if you've read this far then i guess it was slightly interesting, or maybe you're just that bored!!
